A new space

Finding an online home for the creativity.

The projects are stacking up, and the patterns are coming together

It was time to find a way to share my quilts, my process and the patterns I have been creating. This site should be it, for now at least.

I’m excited by this… craft? artwork?

This is art, and I’m determined to treat it seriously, as well as make space for fun, experimentation, challenging the ‘norms’ and making things that I like - for me. It’s also a skilled and varied craft with deep roots and a long history as women’s work, something that I can’t take for granted, and a powerful legacy that I hope to be able to share in.

I’m also interested to see where my interest in graphic design, fonts and product design can take me along this stitching journey.

I’ve spent a lot of time dabbling over various career stages working with colour, product design, graphic design and communication, publishing, photography, interior design and department store retail - along with a successful hospitality business and retail coffee and food brand, Irons and Craig.

There’s a purely creative outlet in building quilts that scratches a certain itch, and there’s also an opportunity here to commercialise my skills and my sense of aesthetics, that could become a business opportunity.

Whatever happens, this site is a document, a portal, a showcase and a store for what I make.
