I’ve been decorating for Christmas all my life. I was always that kid begging to put the Christmas tree up from the earliest mention that Santa was coming.
In a previous life, Christmas was my job too. I worked in the buying office at one of the country’s leading department stores, back in the early 2000s when department stores were still a thing.
I don’t get sick of the glitter and the glass and the tinsel easily.
I do however recognise that not every home needs a green and red and gold explosion on every wall to indicate the arrival of the festive season. And sometimes a simple wish for what the season really means -Joy, Hope and Peace are worth celebrating.
This pattern, and the muted neutral fabric shown in the sample here are inspiration for a relaxed, neutral palette for christmassy, festive decorating.
